Origin Story: Dale Hernsdorf had started designing pieces in 2018 as a hobby while being a jewelry teacher at UCLA and a part-time psychologist. At the end of the year, while shopping, a woman came up to her gushing over her necklace and offered her $18,000 to buy it off her neck. She did, and the rest is history. "While jewelry has always been a way to adorn the body, the meaning of jewelry varies based upon the piece, the materials used, and even the culture in which it was created," says Hernsdorf.
