H&M teams up with Stella McCartney

H&M and Stella McCartney are reuniting for a collab almost 20 years after their debut partnership in 2005. Launching in stores and online in Spring 2026, the collection will feature "responsible" materials, showcasing examples of alternatives for conventional fabrics and textiles. It celebrates McCartney's design DNA with signature styles, iconic silhouettes and house codes. Amelia Gray, Anitta, Emily Ratajkowski, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Bel Priestley, Alton Mason and Kiara Nirghin were dressed in looks from the upcoming collection at The Fashion Awards 2025. British Fashion Council reveals winners of The Fashion Awards 2025

On Dec. 1, the British Fashion Council held The Fashion Awards 2025 hosted by Colman Domingo. Jonathan Anderson won Designer of the Year, Grace Wales Bonner won the British Menswear Designer Award, Sarah Burton won the British Womenswear Designer Award and Dilara Fındıkoğlu won the Vanguard Award. Brunello Cucinelli received the Outstanding Achievement Award, while Anok Yai took home Model of the Year. {Fashionista inbox}

U.S. Senator calls for federal investigations of Shein, Temu

U.S. Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi on Monday calling for the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security to investigate Shein and Temu for wide-scale intellectual property theft and counterfeiting. Shein has previously said that it requires its suppliers to certify that their products do not infringe on a brand's intellectual property and that they are not counterfeit. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said he is investigating whether Shein violated state law related to unethical labor practices and the sale of unsafe consumer products. {Reuters}

Pietro Beccari named CEO of LVMH Fashion Group

Pietro Beccari, currently chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, has been appointed as chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group. Beccari succeeds Sidney Toledano, who decided to step down from his operational role. These appointments will take effect on Jan. 1, 2026, after a transition period between Toledano and Beccari. {LVMH}

Givaudan completes Belle Aire Creations acquisition

Givaudan has officially acquired Belle Aire Creations, a U.S.-based fragrance house known for its creative expertise and strong regional customer relationships. This move fits with Givaudan's 2030 strategy to strengthen its presence with local and regional customers and expand creative capabilities across North America. The terms of the deal will not be disclosed, but Belle Aire Creations' business would have represented approximately CHF 65 million ($80.8 million) of incremental sales to Givaudan's results in 2024 on a proforma basis. {Givaudan

Prada finalizes Versace acquisition 

On Dec. 2, Prada announced it has successfully completed its acquisition of Versace from Capri Holdings. Versace now joins Prada, Miu Miu, Church's, Car Shoe, Pasticceria Marchesi and Luna Rossa. Versace was sold to Prada for $1.375 billion in cash, according to Capri Holdings. {Fashionista inbox}
