Brunello Cucinelli Q4 revenue rises 12%

Brunello Cucinelli reported that its fourth-quarter 2025 revenues rose 12% to €388.6 million ($452.6 million). Sales increased from the previous quarter across all geographical areas: +11.9% in the Americas, +8.1% in Europe and +15.3% in Asia. The Italian fashion brand is forecasting balanced revenue growth of around 10% for 2026. {Brunello Cucinelli}

Roksanda names new CEO

Roksanda appointed Patricia Sancho as its new CEO. Sancho is the first CEO under Roksanda's new owners, The Brand Group, which acquired the label in May 2024. With more than 20 years of experience across luxury and premium fashion, Sancho has worked for Temperley London; Tempe, the footwear and accessories division of Inditex; and as a strategic adviser for various brands. {WWD/paywalled}

Have sneaker sales peaked?

A recent Bank of America market analysis is predicting a long-term deceleration in the sneaker industry, as sportswear sales rose a mere 1.3% in 2025. Sneaker sales have been on a 20-year upswing, accounting for nearly 60% of all footwear sales, but now a slowdown is on the horizon. Though, experts are skeptical about how long this slowdown will last since they don't see a strong replacement entering the category. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

Why Western designers are building their careers in the East

Francesco Risso was recently named the creative director of GU; Kim Jones is the creative director of a newly launched sub-brand, Areal, within China's Bosideng; and Daniel Fletcher took the helm at Chinese label Mithridate. Many East Asian groups are still in a brand-building phase and "are willing to offer designers broader creative remit, longer horizons and greater authorship," Yiling Pan, editorial director of Vogue Business in China, notes. Additionally, there's often stronger supply chain integration and faster time-to-market. {Vogue Business/paywalled}

How apparel brands aim to win the spotlight at the Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics showcase many apparel brands to its global audience: EA7 Emporio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Lululemon are designing uniforms for Team Italy, Team U.S.A. and Team Canada, respectively. Other apparel brands like Salomon, J.Crew and Skims are also competing for the spotlight. In addition to functional gear designed for competitors, lifestyle collections crafted for off-duty athletes and fans can help boost brand sales further. {Modern Retail}
