Ushering in the Fall 2026 women's ready-to-wear season, Copenhagen is one of the first major stops on the fashion month calendar. The biannual event — which returns Jan. 27 through Jan. 30 — often sets the stage for the street style trends the fashion crowd will be sporting throughout New York, London, Milan and Paris. This year, Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) is celebrating its 20-year anniversary of championing Nordic designers and creatives.

CPHFW is also leading the charge regarding industry sustainability: Its Sustainability Requirements set it apart from other fashion capitals, as it emphasizes 19 minimum environmental and social standards for applicants to meet in order to participate. Familiar labels like Baum und Pferdgarten and OpéraSport often line the schedule, but CPHFW is particularly known for uplifting emerging talent.

What's New

This season, CPHFW is introducing the Homecoming slot, which is a recognition awarded to a Nordic brand returning to Copenhagen's schedule after seasons of showing abroad. Holzweiler, a Norwegian fashion house founded in 2012 by siblings Susanne and Andreas Holzweiler, takes the first Homecoming slot with its runway on Jan. 28.

Stem, Bonnetje and Anne Sofie Madsen joined CPHFW's New Talent initiative, which spotlights emerging Nordic brands with less than five years in business. Up-and-coming labels Sson, Taus and Studio Constance were also awarded the "One to Watch" recognition.
