Despite NYFW still being more than a week away, the Fall 2026 ready-to-wear shows are officially underway, and that means team Fashionista is in full-on trendspotting mode. As Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) came to a close, we turned our attention to the runways and the streets alike, looking out for the styles that will set the tone for the rest of the season as we head into the "Big Four" fashion cities. And if CPHFW is any indication, we already have a winner when it comes to the trendiest street style color choice: bits of bright red. Snippets of scarlet. Pops of poppy, if you will.
Showgoers leaned into vibrant, cherry-leaning takes on the hue, wearing it mostly in the form of accessories: We spotted multiple CPHFW attendees accenting their looks with bright red leather gloves, pillbox hats, beanies and scarves (long, skinny or square). Other interesting appearances of the trend came in the form of a Yankees cap, a structured wool coat and even a pair of cowboy boots in the punchy color.
On the whole, winter accessories — including balaclavas, hoods and all manner of scarves — (predictably) played a big part in CPHFW street style this season. Practical and cute; we love to see it.
