Surpassing fashion industry favorites like Chloé's Paddington Bag and Saint Laurent's Vendôme Slingback Pumps, Polo Ralph Lauren's Cable-Knit Quarter-Zip took the top spot as fashion's hottest product in Q4, according to The Lyst Index Q4 2025 Report (which covers October through December). Lyst observed a 75% increase in demand quarter-over-quarter for the preppy style, which is a classic uniform staple of the "finance bro," or the modern-day Yuppies commonly found roaming New York City's financial district in zip-up vests and loafers.

Polo Ralph Lauren's quarter-zip emerging as a must-have item signals a larger industry shift towards conservatism, which Lyst calls "borecore." With soaring luxury prices and an unstable economy, consumers are understandably cautious and instead tapping into the classics (think Barbour jackets and Charvet button-ups). Thanks to Matthieu Blazy's debut Chanel collection, Charvet catapulted into the spotlight with demand up 128% in Q4. Barbour also saw a spike in demand, as interest for the British heritage brand rose 147% on Lyst in Q4.

Rounding out the podium for Q4's hottest products are Massimo Dutti's Puffer Jacket in second place and Arc'teryx's Bird Head Toque in third. Arc'teryx's Toque saw a 1,058% peak in demand in Q4 after stars like Timothée Chalamet and Frank Ocean rocked the look. Chloé's Paddington (Lyst's bag of 2025) came in fifth place, while Gen Z-coded favorites like Ugg's Zora Ballet Flats and Parke's Varsity Sweatshirt took sixth and seventh place, respectively.

As for the fashion industry's hottest brands, the top three mirrored the previous quarter's, marking a rare example of stability amid fashion's constant creative director switch-ups. Saint Laurent, Miu Miu and Cos all maintained their top-three positions in Q4. Ralph Lauren jumped five slots to come in at number four, likely bolstered by consumers' growing appetite for its quarter-zips and the viral "Ralph Lauren Christmas" aesthetic.

Massimo Dutti, a high street fashion label nestled under Zara's parent company Inditex, marked this quarter's only first-time addition to the Index. Demand for the label was up 59% quarter-over-quarter, and searches for its puffer jackets surged 347% in Q4. Plus, Nike re-entered the hottest brands list after more than two years, fueled by the buzzy NikeSkims collaboration.
