Saks Global Files Its Exit Plan From Chapter 11
Saks Global filed its official exit plan from Chapter 1, which details the transition of ownership to its bankruptcy lenders and a downsizing of its retail footprint to focus on 50 full-line luxury stores, on Sunday. Saks Global will not be selling the Bergdorf Goodman entity, and the Saks Fifth Avenue New York City flagship will continue to operate as is. Old Navy To Reportedly Launch New Athleisure Subbrand
Old Navy is reportedly launching a new athleisure subbrand called "Old Navy Sport" later this year, WWD reported on Tuesday. Leggings, sweats, sport bras and T-shirts could be part of the assortment. Since the Supreme Court struck down Donald Trump's tariffs in February, fashion brands have been left waiting to see how refunds will be processed, and when (or if) they'll get money back. Now brands are faced with the decision to take discounted cash now or wait for a possible full refund.
