✨ Fashion Insights & Trends:
Each month, Fashionista editors try a *lot* of beauty products. And while not every formula we test is a winner, we're constantly unearthing new favorites. Here, we've rounded up our latest hair, skin, fragrance, wellness and makeup discoveries — whether fresh-to-market drops or merely recent additions to our personal routines.
Fresh off of a chilly Memorial Day weekend, our editors are prepping for summer's sunny skies and longer days with upgraded sun-care, frizz-fighting hair care and plenty of hydrating skin-care products.
As beauty brands began rolling out their SPF launches, team Fashionista discovered some new beloved formulas, including an invisible-finish fluid sunscreen, an "age-defying" moisturizer, a buildable tinted SPF and protective lip care. We kept our hair cared for with an effortless waving tool, a quick-drying air styler, a lightweight strong-hold cream and a flexible hairspray for a long-lasting style. As for our makeup discoveries, we reached for a creamy contour lip liner, a powder-melting setting spray and a smoothing purple putty primer.

BeautyStat C Lip Serum SPF 30, $15, available here: "This is the first sunscreen-enhanced lip product I've ever tried that doesn't taste, even the teeniest bit, like sunscreen. I love that it offers SPF 30, as well as a hit of hydration, a sheer wash of color and a fruity scent. A summer must-have." —Steph Saltzman, Beauty & Style Director

Milani Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Smoothing Primer, $16, available here: "At first glance, this purple, putty-like formula is a bit intimidating, but it's quickly become my go-to primer for full-face days. The hyaluronic acid and glycerin help keep my skin hydrated under makeup, while the' micro-powders' smooth out any pores or imperfections while still keeping my skin, well, looking like skin." —Brooke Frischer, Associate Editor and Social Media Manager

One/Size Powder Melt Glass Setting Spray, $34, available here: "There's a very short list of products I'd describe as 'magical', but One/Size's setting spray has quickly climbed my beauty ranks. The level of powder that my oily skin demands is often at odds with my heart's desire for fresh, dewy-looking skin, but now I don't have to compromise thanks to this hydrating, long-lasting formula that 'melts' the appearance of excess powder without sacrificing its staying power. The ultra-fine mist is packed with skin-care ingredients like ceramides for moisture and ginger flower water for antioxidant protection. It also lasts for up to 12 hours, leaving a radiant glow without any smudging." —Catie Pusateri, Contributing Writer

Byoma Ultra-Lightweight Face Fluid SPF 50, $20, available here: "I'm very picky when it comes to my sun protection. This one doesn't have a white cast or 'sunscreen' smell, and it doesn't pill, meaning it mixes with my other face products unproblematically and leaves a dewy, but not sticky, finish. Plus, it has an SPF of 50, which skin-care experts highly suggest for daily wear." —Savannah Sitton, Market & Branded Content Editor

Calista Bodywaver Large Wave Styler, $79, available here: "In my ongoing quest for the perfect undone, Olsen-like wavy texture, I've tried plenty of 'waving' tools, but they usually leave my hair looking more crimped or are just too complicated to use. This styler makes it simple to coax hair into loose, 1.25-inch waves; I like to use it randomly throughout my hair for a not-too-perfect effect." —Steph

Merit The Uniform Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45, $38, available here: "I've endeavored to try every tinted sunscreen on the market, and Merit's The Uniform (named for its intended everyday wear) has recently emerged as a new favorite. With buildable light coverage, the mineral sunscreen melts right into my skin and adds a radiant, filter-like finish. It doesn't make my eyes water after a full-day's wear and it doesn't have a sunscreen-y smell that often feels inevitable above the SPF 30 mark. As always, be sure to wear a layer of SPF 30+ underneath to ensure proper sun protection." —Catie

Dae Sunsetter Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray, $30, available here: "I went to an outdoor wedding in Florida this month — hello, humidity — so I came prepared for plenty of frizz and wilting curls. I misted on a generous coat of this new formula from Dae, which promises 'flexible,' non-crunchy hold and humidity blocking, and I was really impressed with the results. My style remained intact all the way until the after party. It also didn't weigh my fine hair down at all." —Steph

Danucera Cream Supreme, $195, available here: "I notice a difference in my skin immediately after applying this thick, decadent cream: It appears to instantly plump and soften fine lines, leaving my skin supple and soft. I also love that it's gentle, so I use it everywhere (even my eye area) for a calming effect." —Savannah

Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Hair Cream, $54, available here: "I'm not exaggerating when I say this product has changed my life. This lightweight, yet strong-holding cream has become my go-to for a slicked-back style. Just a quarter-sized dollop tames all my curls (even at their poofiest) into a seamless updo. I'll even swap out a finishing oil for a teeny amount of this cream on the ends of my blowouts to give my hair a glossy, healthy look. It's not sticky or annoyingly thick, and keeps my hair locked in from day to night." —Brooke

Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect SPF 50 PA++++, $59, available here: "So many brands launched new sunscreens this year, and I honestly had a stellar lineup of formulas to test. This one was a standout: In addition to offering broad-spectrum SPF 50 protection against UVA and UVB rays, it also serves as a lightweight daily moisturizer, spiked with protective antioxidants, hyaluronic acid for hydration and squalane for moisturization. It also disappears on skin to become completely clear, and is a lovely base layer under makeup." —Steph

Fur Trim System, $120, available here: "Without exaggeration, I despise shaving. My sensitive skin always flares up post-shave, which makes shorts season particularly frustrating. However, to my skin's surprise, Fur's Trim System is gentle enough that I've experienced minimal irritation and comfortable precision with both the ceramic trimmer and the three-blade razor (no nicks here!). As for those who aren't into the bald look — the bush is back, after all — the trimmer's LED spotlight and adjustable guard make grooming simple, not an arduous test of my willpower." —Catie

Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Lip Cheat Contour Duo Lip Liner, $26, available here: "This new dual-ended pencil gives me the same creamy application and staying power as the brand's iconic Pillowtalk liner (my favorite), but with two colors for the perfectly contoured lip. Plus, it's the same price as the OG liner. Who doesn't love a two-for-one product?" —Brooke

Shark FlexStyle Air Styling & Drying System Blossom Bliss, $380 $350, available here: "Though I've been loyal to my *other* air styling tool for years, I always found it harder to use than most. Then, after trying someone else's, I realized mine was faulty and I'd spent so much time struggling for no reason. Since I wasn't able to replace it, I turned to Shark. I love how quickly this tool dries my hair without feeling like I'm frying it, and that, unlike other tools, the base bends to get at an angle. Plus, I got the limited-edition cherry blossom colorway, which looks adorable on my counter." —Brooke

Kosas Mini Plump + Juicy Double Cleansing System, $35, available here: "Double cleansing is a non-negotiable in my nightly skin-care routine, and I've started looking forward to washing all my SPF and makeup off at the end of the day thanks to Kosas' new dual system. The cleansing oil (step one) and gel cleanser (step two) work in tandem to melt the day away without stripping my skin of its moisture. The oil is formulated with ceramide NG and an artisanal botanical oil blend, while the gel spotlights panthenol, beta glucan, hyaluronic acid and allantoin for a soothing scrub. Though the full-size system is available on Kosas' website for $86, I've been loving the travel-friendly minis ahead of summertime getaways." —Catie

Mienne Body Crème, $85, available here: "Everything about this new 'erotic,' (their word, not mine) skin-care brand is luxurious, and this ultra-rich body cream was an instant favorite. The thick texture feels decadent, the nuanced musky/floral scent is gorgeous and the weighty black packaging is definitely sexy. According to the brand, it's also 'infused with an enticing blend of botanical aphrodisiacs and firming actives for a velvety glow.' No complaints here." —Steph

Lemme Debloat Daily Digestive Gummies, $30, available here: "As someone with never-ending stomach issues (hot girls have tummy problems, etc.), I've been loving these daily gummies from Lemme. While these mainly are marketed to address bloating, they've also helped me get rid of that heavy feeling that comes with a bad digestion day, allowing me to feel better after meals and throughout the day." —Brooke

Oribe Serene Scalp Densifying Treatment Spray, $76, available here: "Meant to reduce shedding and breakage, this spray-on mist has a slightly minty smell to it (due to peppermint oil, which is great for cleansing pores and fighting breakouts), but it sprays on like water without leaving any residue. For that reason, I love spraying it all over my clean scalp to assist in slicking my hair back into a ponytail." —Savannah

Supergoop! Glow Gloss SPF 40 Lip Balm, $22, available here: "I hate to break it to you, but your lips need sun protection, too. Supergoop's Glow Gloss delivers SPF 40 with a moisturizing mix of shea butter and peptide complex for hydrated, fuller-looking lips. It leaves a glossy sheen without feeling goopy, and the Vanilla Soft Serve shade offers a subtle pink tint with an added sweet tooth-friendly scent." —Catie

Visp Elixir Mixer 2, $109, available here: "I actually have and loved the first iteration of the product, however this new addition is new and improved in so many ways. First, it's nearly double the size at 24 oz. Second, I noticed the battery has improved, as I can go up to a couple weeks of use without needing to charge it. Also, a stronger motor allowed faster mixing for less wait time (and less clumps). Lastly, the new version has a handy carrying tab and, of course, I just love this 'strawberry milk' pink color. Whether you're a protein powder girly, a matcha lover, or drink your powdered greens every morning (I'm all three), you'll also get tons of use out of it." —Savannah
In case you missed last month's picks, you can find them here:

Briogeo Scalp Revival Rosemary Pre-Wash Scalp and Hair Oil, $32, available here: "My scalp (like my hair) tends to be on the drier side, which can lead to issues like flakes and shedding if left untreated. Since using this pre-wash regularly, though, it just feels perfectly balanced: not dry or tight, but not oily either, and I can definitely see some new growth in areas that are more prone to thinning." —Dhani Mau, Editor in Chief
