Welcome to "Face It," in which practitioners, dermatologists, facialists and other beauty experts answer our rapid-fire questions (quicker than you can say "just a few more units, please?"), revealing their hottest takes, most controversial opinions and the hard truths they wish their clients could come to terms with.

Dr. Amy Wechsler, a New York City-based, double-board certified dermatologist and psychiatrist, is setting the record straight: Acne is a controllable and solvable skin condition.

"Acne is treatable," she tells Fashionista. "People who have it feel alone and hopeless, and that's a shame because it's not your fault — it's really common and totally treatable."

It's what prompted her and her daughter Zoe to launch Spotless, a walk-in acne care clinic located on the Upper East Side. Treatments include blackhead or whitehead extractions, low-dose steroid injections for acne cysts and salicylic acid peels, as well as prescription consultations done by nurse practitioners.

In the video below, the duo shares their biggest beauty hot takes, including the surprising body bar you can use as a facial cleanser, why microneedling is overrated and the beauty rules meant to be broken.
