Signet Jewelers Acquires The Clear Cut

Signet Jewelers is acquiring The Clear Cut in a move to strengthen the luxury positioning at its Blue Nile brand. The Clear Cut is a small, New York-based natural diamond jewelry brand known for its bespoke bridal and fine jewelry. The Clear Cut will be integrated into Blue Nile, which is one of Signet's core brands along with Zales, Kay and Jared. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. {WWD/paywalled}

Condé Nast Reaches $400,000 Settlement With Fired Employees Who Confronted Boss Over Layoffs

Last fall, four Condé Nast employees were fired after confronting Chief People Officer Stan Duncan about layoffs at the company. Now, Condé Nast has agreed to a $400,000-plus settlement with three out of four of the former employees. As part of the settlement, the three fired workers were reinstated so that they could resign and be given letters of recommendation. Their disciplinary records were also expunged. {WWD/paywalled}

Salomon Taps Jisoo as Global Ambassador

Salomon has named Jisoo as its newest global ambassador. Future creative projects and collaborations with the South Korean singer will be revealed over time.
