Role Description: The Public Relations Account Executive is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York, NY. The individual in this position will manage and guide junior staff members, day-to-day client communications, develop and implement PR strategies, and coordinate campaigns that support brand objectives in the beauty industry. Responsibilities include drafting press materials, pitching media, maintaining relationships with editors, influencers, and partners, and tracking coverage and performance metrics. The Account Executive will support event planning and activations, coordinate product seeding and sampling, and prepare client-ready reports and presentations. Collaboration with internal team members to align PR initiatives with broader marketing and brand strategies is a key part of this role.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of PR experience working with beauty, fashion and/or lifestyle brands.
• Demonstrated skills in media relations, press release writing, and pitching stories to beauty, fashion and lifestyle outlets.
• Experience in campaign planning, PR strategy development, and integrated communication initiatives.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with attention to tone, detail, and brand voice.
• Proficiency in client and internal team management, including status reporting, meeting preparation, and expectation setting.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, influencer partnerships, and digital PR tactics.
• Ability to track results using PR and media monitoring tools and to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Must be comfortable working across multiple clients.
• Comfort working independently and in a collaborative team setting, with professional communication skills.
• Prior experience in beauty, fashion, or consumer lifestyle PR is strongly preferred.
• Experience with platforms such as Muck Rack, Canva, Google Suite are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation: $70k – $90k, DOE
